Glacier Point, Yosemite NP

I'm not really into video but I like to have some fun with my phone sometimes. On my most recent trip, I shot this. Like all inexperienced videographers I shot it vertical instead of horizontal. Guess that means I'll have to go back and do it right. :)

NOTE: If you click on the image the video will open up in a new browser tab.

Yep, you want to go horizontal. :)

This is a cool view you got, getting the giant staircase is always great! I wish there was a hair more on the right of this to show just a bit more of that tree. Did you take another shot that showed more to the right? Not a lot more, just a bit more. :)

I assume this is a single frame from your video? I like the image, but I would add some contrast.

I have taken a bunch of iPhone videos but never really tried processing them down to a reasonable size. This one is interesting for those of us who have never been to Yosemite.

No need to process the videos unless that's your thing. This was right out of the phone. I will say though that apparently you cannot just email the video because somehow the phone will degrade the video in order to compress the file for email. You have to transfer the file via a file sharing site. My smugmug account accepted it readily where I could then download it to my computer at full resolution. Dropbox and others will work fine too.

We haven’t done much video yet John. So it’s all a learning experience.

You should edit the post and say Click on the photo to view the Video. Or something like that, because I know maybe it just went over my head originally, but I didn’t even think to click on it.
