Gaynor Lake - High Sierra

As I was traveling the recently opened Tioga Pass in Yosemite National Park, I decided to do a quick hike up to Gaynor Lake which is located just as you enter the park on the Eastern side. The trailhead is just under 10,000 feet so I thought it would be a fun break in after being at sea level for the last month.

This is an iPhone capture. I also used my regular cameras, but to post here on the road, the iPhone is easier.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Wow I’m surprised there’s that much snow left on those peaks. Heard the other day that the sierras are at 0% of their average snowpack!

Did you stay for sunset? There's a nice, long period around then for great light there.
