I posted some digital work of these falls the other day in the landscape thread. Here is some B&W work on traditional B&W film (TMAX 100) from last Saturday. Above and at the falls. Canon 7ne, 17-40L w/ cpl.

and one more up top, close and personal.

Hey Jon,

Very nice B&W film work with these. I think #2 is my favorite followed by #3. What a cool experience to have been able to capture these. With all that ice around was it slippery for you to shoot?

Actually not that bad. There had been no recent snow or rain so the ground had traction, though frozen. After a snow though, slick as snot and dangerous getting up and down around these falls. Thank you for the kind words :)

If you want to shoot waterfalls in freezing conditions get some of these:

Easy to carry and you don't have to wear them until you need them. I have used them around the waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge to shoot in the ice and they are worth their weight in gold. The mists around waterfalls are their own form of freezing rain and they coat everything around the waterfalls with glassy ice. I can continue down a sloped trail with these on my boots where I would otherwise be sliding on my ass waiting for impact at the bottom.

Good on ya shooting film. Do you digitize the negatives then do post on these or also print in a darkroom?
