Foggy Barn

Well I'm pretty sure I've mentioned my complete lack of creativity. Especially when it comes to composition. Being stuck close to home hasn't really helped with landscape photography, but this barn catches my eye whenever I drive by.

I would love some thoughts. I think the barn should be lower maybe??? Just kind of seems out of balance. Get rid of some of the color to match the frozen tree??? Or does it just stink in general?

Good place for this image. I think it's pretty good for starters. I do agree that getting the barn lower might help and maybe a bit more space to the left of the tree. But composition is my weak spot as well. Maybe others will have better ideas.

Hey Brian, I agree the barn should be lower, or perhaps higher. It's too close to the middle right now. Depending on how you move it would determine if you wanted the barn to be less colorful. Let me play with it a bit and see.

Here is a sample where I decreased the contrast in the background to let the barn fade away a bit more. It helps to provide more separation between the tree and the farm objects.

I like what Jim did. I'd also like to see a bit more space to the left of the tree. Maybe add a bit more micro contrast and darken the foreground and the tree (I did some selecting burning).
