Flamingoes.

Flamingoes at Auckland Zoo.. My wife and I did a couple of weeks in the States in June 1979, New Zealand to LA then to Oakland by Amtrac, then by Greyhound to Cheyenne via Salt Lake City, and another train to Washington DC via Chicago where we spent a week exploring West Virginia then on to Canada. Of course, I took photographs, unfortunately they are all on flash drives at home and I am stuck in the Hospital, We were unlucky because the Gas shortage meant we couldn't go where we wanted, and had to take potluck on how to travel, but also Lucky there were no queues at Disneyland. needless to say we had a ball.

Cool perspective on these birds - this gives very nice detail on the eyes and heard. I have watched videos of them eating in shallow water but never in the mud like this.
