First Color

High elevation trees in the Sierra have started to change and will be approaching peak in some areas this weekend. First it would be nice if the smoke would clear a little bit. Toiyabe is still open and Virginia Lakes should be looking pretty good in the next week. All comments welcome!

That's some very nice color and some very early color for the Eastern Sierra. That seems to be the pattern in Colorado too, the leaves are turning early.

Thanks for the comments everyone! Some sources are saying Inyo will open on Friday. I haven't been because of the closure, but I expect there's a start to some of the higher areas above Bishop.
