There are about 300 wild Burros that live around Lake Pleasant, Arizona.
BTW... Burro is the spanish word for Donkey. A male donkey or ass is called a jack, a female a jenny or jennet; a young donkey is a foal.

The feral population of burros in Arizona was from miners who abandoned their mines and their doneys. The first burros were brought to North America by Christopher Columbus and the Franciscan Monks brought them to Arizona
