Fenced Out

Following on the heals of Alan's "Fenced" IR image, I have one that I was working on that included a different fence, a bit more modern in construction. This was on the road leading from Idaho Falls heading East to the Grand Teton National Park. It had just snowed, so there wasn't really places to park along the side of the road, fortunately driving off and into the snow wasn't an issue in my Jeep. :)

I have a few compositions of this hillside and with and without the fence that I will work on eventually.

Not Channel Swapped - Because I dig the blue/gold combination :)

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Some scenes seem to look better without the channel swap and this is one of them. The effect works well with the scattered trees and the isolation created by the snow. This would look completely different without the snow.

For the record this fence is likely older than the reconstruction in my post. The reconstruction was a work in progress about 6 years ago while I was still working in downtown Vancouver and running past that site every other day.

Thanks Alan, I agree with the not channel swapping. And I guess the more we do IR the more we will know when a channel swap works or doesn't.

Yeah, I meant the design of the fence styles. I think barbed wire was a later 1800's thing.
