It’s getting to be that time of year again. These from the Eastern Sierra.
These from 2023. Off to Utah in early October and then back to the Sierra latter in the month. Good time of year.Wow - seems early for this level of color but these scenes are a welcome sight after the days of summer. Hard to pick a favorite as I like all of them.
Welcome to FocalWorld James and thanks for the fall leaves map link - nice resource.Great shots! I would love to be walking down that road and escaping the 100 degrees temps in Phoenix. We have to wait until the second half of October.
If anyone is interested, here is a pretty good foliage map:

Hey Jim, 1 is correct, 3 is a little creek that comes into Twin Lakes. I don’t recall offhand the name of 2s location. Colorado sounds good, I’m off to Utah for my October trip.Hey Jim,
Man, it's been so long since I have been to the Eastern Sierra in the fall. It's like my old home. But now I go to Colorado or the Upper Midwest in the fall.
Very nice shots here, your images remind me of how awesome it is there.
I think #1 is Conway Summit, and #3 is McGee Creek. I don't know for sure about #2 as there is a few places that have tunnel of trees.
