Yosemite valley looks nice. Great color as you head into the valley. A little burnt near El Capitan. Not quite peak at housekeeping camp.

Yosemite - 10/29/2018
On the Southern route to Yosemite on Hwy 41, the color just outside of Course Gold the cottonwoods are turning gold, but everything else is still green.

In Yosemite, while there is some green, and some patches where the leaves just dried up and turned brown, I would say 70% of the color is peak and looking awesome. If you want to shoot fal color in Yosemite you should get here very soon.

Fall colors are looking awesome here. There is still some green in areas that should be turning in the next 4 or 5 days. If you want to shoot fall colors here, don’t delay.
By the way, the Merced river is incredibly low, much lower then I can remember at any time recently.

Just pulled into Zion. Jim asked me to take some iPhone shots from the overlook, but this being Sunday afternoon, I had something like a snowball's chance in hell of finding a parking space..... These are from the Pa'rus Trail & Visitor Center. Looks like there was an early snow or something with some trees brown/leaves dropped, but others haven't turned yet & others are peaking.

Well I thought the Oregon Coast Range was at it's peak and ending in mid October and was pleasantly surprised this morning to find out that the big leaf maples were just now hitting peak. These are a couple of iPhone shots from this morning up along Sweet Creek near the Mapleton/Florence area.
