"Fall Cloud Gate"

This is from a recent trip to Chicago. The Cloud Gate sculpture, commonly called "The Bean", can be framed by some fall color if you time it right! Would you believe this was shot in the middle of the day with hundreds of people around?

Very interesting photo subject which is likely what the artist had in mind. Works very well with the fall leaves.

How did you eliminate all of the people? Long exposure and lots of selective edits?

Alan- I used a 16 stop ND filter. No selective edits.

It worked. Much easier than trying to clone someone out and then doing the same with their reflection.

Very cool Tex. Smart thinking with using the ND filter. You could also have shot multiple shots and used the difference blending mode. Though... there may have been too many people for that to be effective.
