Fall Blues

The last blooms in our garden every year are the Monk's Hood flowers. A bit of a nasty plant that shouldn't be handled without disposable gloves but a beautiful bloom with some really intense blues. The plants are quite notable right now since nothing else has active blooms except for some sedums still hanging on.

Thanks Jameel - the blue of this flower is seriously intense and gives camera sensors as much trouble as deeply saturated reds.

Thanks Doug - there are well over a dozen stalks with bloom clusters like this in this one location in our yard and a smaller number growing in another spot with blooms just like this one.

Thanks - glad I could add to your fall palette possibilities The blooms aren't looking very blue at this point of fall however.....
