When you live in Vegas, you learn to shoot whenever a cloud shows up. Just a typical desert seen I wanted to share.
Great comments Zeph! You nailed it on the foreground object. Thinking back I may have been able to find a nice cactus or Joshua tree. Thanks for the input!Shooting in naked geology (desert) sometimes one deals with finding a straight horizon. Often the flow of erosion creates alluvial fans that distorts where one would find a level perspective. I like this shot in the way everything deeps to the right, even the clouds follow a similar pattern., love the stunning colors in the clouds. Having an identifiable object in the foreground might have welcomed the viewer in the scene, imho.
Yes sir. It was all about the sky. Thanks AlanAlways nice when some furniture shows up in the sky. This scene would be a wash without the clouds but in this case the conditions offer some nice visual features in the upper part of the scene. Good thinking on getting out to get what you can.
