Digital art.

Looks like something that should be a backdrop for some kind of motivational poster

Very easy to gaze at.....

At first, I was just messing around with the idea of this composite, but I do like the way it looks. Anyone that lives in Southern California knows that it's an impossible shot from that location, (El Moro Canyon in the Newport Coast hills).

lol...but Instagram loves this stuff. :D.

Hey...if there was a "Digital Art" forum, i'd post it there. Taking opacity into account, this image is roughly 15% fake. :p

I think my inspiration for this was an image that someone posted on FM looking down Tunnel View and the Milkyway core rising at the end, in the North. lol.

I mean...at leas my MW is rising looking in the general Southwest direction.

This is really good. The foreground is brought up enough to be interesting, but not so much as to be jarringly unreal. The horizon color combined with the stars in the higher sky add multiple layers of interest. That it is fake is a shame and most out there would not know. The sunset and milky way combined are a dead giveaway to anyone who has tried to shoot the MW tho....;)

I'll let Jim decide if he'll allow it to stay in this forum. No hard feelings if he wants to remove it. I understand it is not a true image and more so digital art. I also had no intentions of persuading anyone that this exact shot is achievable at this location.

Hey Ryan,

It's fun to play around sometimes. I am sure you probably learned a few things as you were blending this and putting it together that you can then apply to the next time you process a MW image.

Thanks for declaring from the get go that this was Digital Art and what you did. The issues always comes in when someone wants to try and post a fake photo but acting like it was real. That causes problems.

We do need to have a Digital Art forum. For now, it might be best to include Digital Art in with the Abstract forum. We can think about it.

As it is, thanks for sharing something that you obviously had fun processing and putting together. I think we can leave this here for now as we ponder a bit about Digital Art. :)
