Usually the color works great for this late with the color of water a deep shade of blue. This was taken mid day where the light was not forgiving. So B&W it is.

Thanks AlanWorks great as a B&W - nice way to tame the light.
Thanks Ben. Yeah mid day isn't the best time for this location. Sunrise is likely the best time.It does work great as a B&W. It's always mid day when I drove by and poor light.
Looks a bit flat in color because of the light. The color version included - It can potentially be tweaked to make it better. This looks awesome as a B&W Jameel. So much so, that are you sure the color wasn't good? This looks so good in B&W it's hard to imagine it looking bad in color.![]()
Thanks Jeff. Thanks for the suggestions. Will look into it definitely. Both versions are nice, Jameel! I really enjoy the comp. The color version has more depth for me since the colors help add layers.
I think your mono version could be improved by punching it up some more with your blacks, mids and whites. You might have a bit of some haloing going on along the horizon, but it could just be my eyes.
This would make for a pretty insane IR shot.

Thanks.b&w worked well here, i like the richness of the dark tones in the trees.
Thanks Dale. The tools today are incredible. I am not sure I would have bothered editing this a few years ago.Very nice, you handled the harsh lighting well.
