On an average storm chasing day we were in 3 to 4 different states. We photographed the day's last light here and then drove to the hotel in Liberal, Kansas. We never stopped moving. Except for events like this.

Amazing light and colors. That is a remarkably featureless topography spread out in front of you but probably what it takes to get the kinds of atmospherics you were pursuing.
