This is an image I took a couple of years ago and decided to reprocess it. I did not notice the soap bubble until I removed all the stars in Pixinsight. It was really faint and hard to bring it out. I processed most of it using masking in photoshop to bring out the soap bubble. I do better using masks in photoshop that in Pixinsight. I used the Takahashi FSQ 106 and the ASI 1600 mm. This is 20-Ha subs @360sec and 21-O3 subs @360 sec.

Very nice, you brought out quite a bit of the soap bubble in this. I had the same occurence where I did not realize I had the Soap Bubble in my Crescent image until after the fact, but in my case, it was cut off on the edge of the frame and super faint so I decided not to mess with trying to accentuate it. Had I realized it was there I would have framed things up differently in the first place.

Great image, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mike, I wasn't trying for it because I didn't know it was there until I saw some other shots of it. removing the stars have really helped out on my processing.

Nice! Who knew the soap bubble existed? 😂😂
Thank you! Thanks to other people who found it and star removing software. I might go though more of my shots remove the stars and stretch the heck out of it to see what other objects will show up.
