Visited this beauty for the first time recently. Leaves were at or near peak and I was one happy camper. Took a million images, but here is one I liked. Thx for looking! And don't worry, I have a ton more waterfall images for waterfall Wednesday, lol.

Whoa - I am torn between being blown away by the falls and the fall leaves. Great combination and I can easily see why you are a happy camper with this. I'd love to see more of what all you shot while you were there.

Nice! Western NC is like a rainforest. Was there twice this year.
Where we are is not "like" a rainforest, it is a rainforest! The definition of a temperate rainforest requires somethign like 55" of annual rainfall and an average temperature in a certain range. There are portions of several counties in North Carolina (and tiny bits of North GA and South Carolina) that are designated temperate rainforests. I am not sure that Crabtree Falls is located in such an area, but Highlands, where we are mostly, is in the Appalachian temperate rainforest, averages 85" of rain annually historically, but had over 130" last year and over 150" so far this year!

Great work, love the color and the shutter speed really works well on this too. Depth of focus and composition complete the picture to make this a compelling image!
