Corner Post

A few images from the summer this year before I met Jeffery and joined the forum. The first two where during my trip to the VLA, were I took 50+mile dirt road through the desert on the way to Riley.
Came across this corner post that I found interesting.

The second is something that is common here in NM, although this altar was atop a rocky hilltop, with a monsoon storm building in the distance.

And the third was were I met Jeffery Sipress. I was on my way to my parents house in Nambe which is right down the street from this mission, and on my way there I was seeing this perfect anvil head building. All I could think about was getting to the mission in time, and I think my timing was pretty good.

Nice job working the light in all three of these - that last one keeps my attention the longest with the nice thunderhead behind the mission.

All 3 are great. Corner posts are fun to work and you got this great.

#2 is really well done too, the clouds really help make it.

#3, the mission looks great, but that cloud is out of this world epic!

I am really glad that you and Jeffrey ran into each other. B&W are sometimes a forgotten practice, so I really like these and look forward to a push in activity in this B&W forum.

Thank you very much Jim. The corner post started from the right side of the frame as I worked my way to the actual corner. Those images are ok, and added to the archive, but the corner image was the winner. #2: At this time of day, it really only popped because of the storm in the background and in B&W. But I honestly have never seen an altar atop a rocky hill like this which was situated in such an isolated location. #3: Was one of those opportunities that makes me break speed limits. LOL

Yeah me too. He has been an inspiration, as I was kind of in a dark space when I met him. Seeing his beautiful imagery totally motivated me.

I truly love B&W, maybe because I struggle with color. IDK, but it moves me in a way the color doesnt. Simplicity?
