Cook Bank

Back on Oct 7, I had driven all the way from Santa Rosa, NM to the town of Beatty, NV. Before settling in for the night, I made a quick run before dark out to the ghost town of Rhyolite.
Cool to see the old ruins. These two pics are of the remains of the Cook Bank building.
You can see the dramatic and darkening sky I had. Made for nice soft light.

Those look nice with the overcast light. Makes it easier to see the details on the inside walls.

I got to see Ryolite a number of years ago with some other photographers but we never ventured into the town. I think there was a fee to go in back then.

No fee now, that I know of at least. But they had put up chain link fences around all the buildings so one couldn't venture inside them!

This bank looks like it is open for business:) Maybe not so secure however.

I really like the dynamic composition you have in the second image.

Very cool Barry. Rhyolite is an interesting place, I haven't been there in a few years but I remember it being fun to explore. #2 is my favorite too.
