When I was photographing the comet the other day I realised it had the potential to make a nice conjunction with the Orion Nebula and Rigel on Saturday night. The weather forecast kept changing, going from 10% cloudy to 90% cloudy in just 48 hours. Sure enough, as dusk settled in things were not looking good, but at around 8pm when I took the dogs out there was a clear band right where I needed it, so I whipped out my Benro Polaris, astro-modified Canon 600D and 135mm Rokinon lens to see what I could capture. In the end I only managed to get 10 30-second frames before the clouds packed in again, but at least I got it!
