Color or B&W

This was taken a couple of day ago. There was a light dusting of snow and after it cleared there was some light towards the south. I launched the drone to see what Mt Rainier would look like. Mavic 3 Pro with the 166mm lens. Due to muted light and some low clouds where the drone was the colors are a little strange. I worked both the color as well as B&W versions.

Which would you prefer?

I prefer the color version.

There are some quirks to the color but I still prefer the color vs. the B&W. The color does a better job of conveying the drama of the clouds in the upper portions of the scene than the B&W.

I think the color gives it more depth. The B&W is cool in that it makes the peak look like it's floating in air.

Both are really nice.

Jameel, I like color version more, I have taken similar shots and always kept the color version.

Jameel, I slightly prefer the B&W version—if possible, edit the foreground “black” trees to reveal the lighter portions visible in the original image. Gorgeous as is!

Thanks John. I'll definitely try your suggestion. I had intentionally darkened the foreground trees both in the color as well as the monochrome version.
