Clouds

It seems like forever since I last posted on this site. As some of you know, I am working on a book, and it has been a major project, but I am beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.

The only photography I have been able to do is clouds, mostly within 20 miles of my home. So here are a few as proof of life.

Welcome back Doug! And you wondered why I wasn't enthusiastic about making coffee table books - I suspected a major time sink would be involved and wasn't really ready to dive into such an effort :p

I love your cloud efforts - especially the wild colors in the first two images and the neat isolated showers in the third image.

Sounds pretty epic.

One would almost think that having all the digital tools we now have would make this type of task easier but at the same time the capabilities these tools offer have raised the bar on expectations for the quality of the resulting work. Our fancy tools made the task harder.

Yeah!!!! NASA? We have Proof of Life! :)

It's so awesome to have you posting these Doug! It's been far too long since you have posted any photos, but I do know that book project has turned into an all consuming project for you. But it's great the light at the end of the tunnel is appearing, as these photos are certainly evidence as to why we miss your work so much.

All 4 of these are my favorites. Love the clouds!
