Climbing in Chamonix France

I lived in Germany for ~8 years in the 80s teaching for the Department of Defense Schools. Most of those summers were spent climbing in the Alps, with a lot of the time around Chamonix France.

Hey Jim,

What an awesome experience that had to have been for you!

And what super cool photos! Each photo is very thrilling to view! I can’t pick a favorite, though #1 has that classic mountaineering view we see in movie’s and does really jump out at me!

Ahhh, #1 is to me (hiker not climber) the essence of mountaineering and photography combined. The tracks lead us to the subject figure and the dark ridge line carries us right to the peak. The clouds and the dark chasm continue the mountain mystery.

One of my favorites from your work.
