Cedar Creek Grist Mill

You got some good light for your visit. Neat you got some Big Leaf Maples changing too. I am a bit surprised at how low the water level is in Cedar Creek but that will get a serious jolt this weekend with several inches of rain coming.

There are a lot of trees in Southern Washington that haven't changed yet and quite a few just getting started when I was up in the Gorge on Tuesday and that's only 30 air miles from the Grist Mill.

@AlanLichty wow - terrific observation about the water level. It never occurred to me until I saw this.

I have visited the place on quite a few occasions but have never seen Cedar Creek as low before. At the back of your image there is a small waterfall with a fish trap right next to it that usually has water flowing over the entire set of exposed rocks even in the fall at the end of the dry season.

This is a shot of what the falls usually look like.

This is awesome Murali! A place I have not been to, but I think I need to add to my reasons to get back up to Washington State.
