@AlanLichty wow - terrific observation about the water level. It never occurred to me until I saw this.You got some good light for your visit. Neat you got some Big Leaf Maples changing too. I am a bit surprised at how low the water level is in Cedar Creek but that will get a serious jolt this weekend with several inches of rain coming.
There are a lot of trees in Southern Washington that haven't changed yet and quite a few just getting started when I was up in the Gorge on Tuesday and that's only 30 air miles from the Grist Mill.
I have visited the place on quite a few occasions but have never seen Cedar Creek as low before. At the back of your image there is a small waterfall with a fish trap right next to it that usually has water flowing over the entire set of exposed rocks even in the fall at the end of the dry season.@AlanLichty wow - terrific observation about the water level.
