Capitol Reef #2.

Here are a couple more from Capitol Reef National Park. The first one was shot many years ago and a polarizer was used, hence the dark blue of the sky. The second one is Hickman Natural Bridge were I was trying to give a different perspective than that in which it is usually portrayed (head on).

These scanned well Doug. The deep blues in that first one with the nice clouds really jumps out and the sandstone colors are delightful.

Really like the angle on the Hickman bridge.

On the first one, I am seeing a strong cyan cast in the clouds on my monitor. May be worth trying to tone down the cyan some bringing a more natural blue in the sky. The colors on the ground are nicely saturated.

Really nice shot of Chiminy Rock, thats a hard place to get a good angle. Hickman is great as well and these look like Kodachromes, my favorite look.

Very nice shots Doug! That is a beautiful area that you have captured so well. I really like those clouds in #1.

That first one has real punch! Great sky you got there.
The second one is a bit flat. A smaller depth of field would have set the arch more apart. That's a problem I noticed in Arches NP. All the rocks are of similar colors and if you can see other rocks through an arch, there is not much separation between foreground and background.
But of course, with a wide angle lens it's difficult to get a small DOF ...

Man Douglas, these are just spectacular. I just drove through and did not have time to explore. I did get one that I liked. Can I post it on your thread?
