Thanks Kyle, and I did not see those twigs lower right, easy to do. This is like 200 miles from home, so not real easy.
Great idea Ben!Thnaks Guys, I think I will post more for critique in the comming weeks. This has been great.
Jim, I wanted that bush, but man, I had a lot of junk to remove first.
This looks more like what my eyes expect to see with this scene.Hi Ben. After reading some of the comments regarding the over-sharpening of the bush, I looked at my own version (Ben and I were standing side by side for this shot). At zero sharpening (I use deconvolution sharpening in ACR only), the bush still "looks" over-sharpened. Have you taken into account how strong that wind was that day? Even though I had a 1/400 SS, I don't think I was able to stop action on this one. I'm going to let the image stand on my Flickr account because other than the dag-nabbit bush, I like the contents of the scene. Here's an alternative crop I was considering but I decided "naw".
Can't speak for Ben but I was going for that David Muench look except I picked an ugly bush to do it with. This looks more like what my eyes expect to see with this scene.
