Brown Pelican Portrait

here is a shot of the Brown peilican that was just chilling along side a bunch of fisherman down by a local inlet. I processed it 2 different ways
one way was my typical way which can get heavy handed at times and the second way is heavy handed on pupose. I was lookng for a
more artistic version.
Please weigh in and let me know which you perfer .

Awesome capture Joe!

Either version is a winner. I think after taking a few minutes to scroll between them that I think #2 is my favorite. But either is awesome.

Nice work on either one Joe. When I look at it as a bird photo I prefer the first one as it seems more 'real' (whatever that means). The second one is more of an artistic portrait that I might want hanging on my wall.

They are both pretty good. I also prefer the second one with darker background which makes the bird stand out more.
