Yet another image from the Northern Scottish coast. Taken with a 50mph wind blowing from the West ( left to right). Instead of long rollers the sea was churned up into a maelstrom. I have now posted the brighter image, it may become a black and white minimalist image, depends on my mood. I have also found a shorter shutter speed image 1/2s. Ken

I love the level of churn in these seas. Not an easy task to get long exposures for the water with winds like you are describing.

Alan I had high cliffs all around me and the wind was whistling high above my head. I tried to photograph from the top of the cliffs but couldn't as the wind kept pulling my glasses off of my face. I couldn't hold my glasses, the tripod and operate the camera. Even if I had managed to grow a third arm the images would probably have been hopelessly blurred as all of my images at that time were fairly long exposures. Ken

Wow - I have been out in some fairly crazy weather but have never had my glasses blown off of my face! Sounds like tucked into the cove below was a useful plan. I do like the image you got here.

This is great Ken! A really awesome image really. It's such a cool looking arch and rock. What's the history behind the name? Or does it look like a bow fiddle, and I am just not seeing it?

And great job in this conditions. It's been pretty windy around here lately where I have had to take my ball cap off and switch to a wool hat because the wind kept blowing my hat off. But blowing glasses off is a whole other level.
