Black Water...........IR

Pretty interesting result when you have sparse vegetation with rocks like this. Neat result.

Do you you use a polarizer with an IR converted body for the water or does the IR already give you a similar result?

Hey Craig, this is a very cool view. I like the water in the middle being surrounded by that brush.

I never thought about it, but Alan brings up a great question about Polarizers. Can you even use a Polarizer with IR?

HI Alan, Thanks very much !!! I didn't use a Polarizer for this image, I think the Water and it's look is more from the Overcast
Skies. IR doesn't generally mess with the way water is captured.

Hi Jim,

Thank You, It was a very neat view from the back of the little dam, this area is a place that I always
seem to find new and different areas.

On the Polarizer, folks have used them, as well as ND Filters, with very good results. I was always a little
hesitant to put anything extra on the lens as Hotspots are mysterious animals and you never know when or where
they show up and another piece or pieces of glass could've caused some problems.

Take Care,

Craig

This has a very unique look, the scene, the light and the IR effect to make a compelling image.
Thanks Ben, Almost every image from this outing years ago had this dramatic look due to the Weather and Time
of Year. It was overcast, chilly, and Fall, so the grasses and brush were just starting to turn. Plus , the 720nm filter
gives that White Frosty Foliage Look.

Take care,

CK

I've been going through some struggles, hopefully I'll get back in the swing of things in the next couple of months. Sometimes life just gets in the way.

Amy :)
