Ice at Oxbow? I have been there with ice as well.

Ominous look to the skies. My favorite mood for such a scene. Is that ice or just wind patterns on the water surface?

It's from the wind, it was very clear when I got there, by the time I set up my camera wind and storm started to roll in.
Pretty cool looking Shibu. Oxbow Bend is a favorite area of mine. I think I would do a bit of cropping on the right. I don't think that the leaves or bare shrubs add to the image, I think they are a bit distracting. An overall fine image you have here, but I think a bit of cropping or if you had moved and taken the same shot a bit more to the left to avoid those branches would step this shot up a bit more.
