Bear grass

There were good stands of bear grass along the going to the sun road near Logan pass last week. But mostly there were no pull outs. But there were some groups along the Hidden Lake boardwalk. Here is one I liked.

Neat looking blooms.

The lack of turnouts in Glacier is a distinct drawback when you are cruising along looking for neat stuff to shoot. I discovered I wasn't really missing many photo ops when I took the shuttle up to Logan Pass since it stops at most of the turnouts anyway.

It was closed at the overlook because of bears. I spoke to a hiker that said there was a griz 15 feet from the overlook when she was just there.

Rick and I had plans to hike to the overllook, but each day we had planned had some sort of issue. I managed to get up about 1/4 mile at sunset but it was dark and cloudy and so I spent the time getting images where I was.
