Mt. Shuksan, in the North Cascade Range in Washington, is just 10 miles from the Canadian border. If it's a clear day, you cannot make a bad photo of this mountain. There are just too many good viewpoints if you walk a short distance from the parking lot at Artists Point. 30 second exposure for cloud movement.

Thanks Guys! It was my first time there too, despite being "only" 300 miles away from home. Many good hiking trails there that also lead to epic views. I'll be back one day for sure.

Thanks Peter! I was expecting a bit more color from the foliage as this place is around 1600m elevation and 48 degrees North, but I was just there Wednesday - still too early I guess. The red hills were an unexpected surprise.
