Artist's Point view, MV

Another take from Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park.
This is from Artist's Point, along the northern leg of the Valley Drive.
To hopefully give you an idea of the place, the two most prominent buttes, upper left and right, are Merrick Butte and the East Mitten and lie a touch over 2 miles distant from my shooting location. The background mesas and buttes and spires range from 4-7 miles away, and these all lie across the state line in Utah.
Just a majestic place! If you haven't been here, you must put it on your list!

That's a great view Barry. I am thinking though that perhaps a pano view would look better. The foreground is cool with the way it's lit and the snow, but I wonder if its perhaps distracting a bit too much from the background.

I hear ya but I wanted to use the fg to enhance the sense of distance in the scene. Good thought!

I like the snow dusted foreground - the lines draw my eyes up towards the distant buttes quite nicely.
