Wow Joe! I am traveling (at Black Canyon of the Gunnison at the moment) and so looking at this on my iPhone, and at first look I actually didn’t see the bird! I started to think it must be hidden and Joe did a clever job of capturing it, but I still couldn’t find it hidden in the background… but then I blinked, and there it was!!! I couldn’t believe it was right in front of me…

I had one hell of a time with this one, first to find it in the viewfinder then to focus on it. It took four shots before I found focus.

Very impressive camouflage job with this specimen - I can see where this could create autofocus issues. Nice capture.
Great job with isolating the bird for focus.
