I have always been fond of that formation in the first image and have shot it on a couple of occasions but it looks fantastic from the air. I like the Burr Trail pano a lot too. Nice work.

Thanks Alan. How would you get close enough to it on the ground to photograph it? I didn't see any access, but I couldn't see the entire area around it to know.

I was referencing colors in the anticline on the left when I said formation - this is the first view I have ever seen of the river like this think less of all the amazing little canyons off to the south. I have shot the anticline from several locations since its visible anywhere along the Goosenecks/Moki Dugway road.
There are trails that lead over to the San Juan River with a trailhead along UT163 just north of the junction for UT261 north of Mexican Hat. That would north of where your drone was for this shot judging by the path of the river in your frame.

These are all great, but that first one of the monocline along the San Juan River is otherworldly. I captured an aerial image of this area, but it doesn't come close to your view.
I wish I'd had drone technology when I was teaching. Great job, Jeffrey.

Wonderful images Jeffrey. Especially the last one you posted - I can see why that is one of your favorites. The aerial views are just fantastic.
