This is my favorite view at the Maze overlook. I was hoping for the early morning sidelight to bath all those rocks in a glow. But this peek of light was more subtle and in some ways better.
The Chocolate Drops do not get lit from this location at sunrise, which this is.I like this view and the touch of light is kind of nice. A little light on the Chocolate Drops would have been cool but you didn't always get to choose.
Ben, this is beautiful, I like the inverted cold/warm tone on a grand scale. This is my favorite view at the Maze overlook. I was hoping for the early morning sidelight to bath all those rocks in a glow. But this peek of light was more subtle and in some ways better.

Thanks Jim, much appreciated.Nice scene Ben. Lovely detail and light.
Thanks Jameel. That is a nice image of that rugged landscape. Nicely done Ben.
Thanks Jim. I am standing at the edge of the canyon for this shot, but of course there is another canyon further away. There is a trail down to the bottom. We spend most of the day driving from one camp to the next so we don't have much time to explore. Thats why we are spending two nights at the Doll House next tripThis is really cool Ben! That's an amazing area.
Are you able to get closer to where you can see down into the canyon? This would sure be an awesome area for a drone.
Thanks Jim Dockery. This is an amazing place in person, but very hard to get compositions. The drive in has incredible scenery but we are so busy driving and there are so few parking places that we mostly just look.Wonderful, makes you want to get lost in the depths.
Thanks Steven, this is really off the beaten path, serious off road is required.Really like this one! Not at all familiar with this really interesting location. Thx for sharing!
