A Day in the Life...

My second cutting of the season. I was curious to see what this process would look like through the infrared world. I got lucky on the timing in taking these images, the next day the smoked rolled in from the wildfires and you could no longer see the Grand Mesa or much of anything for that matter. (might belong more in agricultural forum than IR)

# 1 - The evening before baling the hay (the only on using a 665nm, the rest are 590nm)

# 2 - The next afternoon in the process of baling (more of a artistic processing)

# 3 - Baling in B&W

# 7 - Coming down to the end of the work

# 5 - Nearing the end of the day and the dust has settled

# 6 - A peaceful finish at the end of the day

Fun set with some creative processing and a nice backstory to boot. I kind of like the processing for the second image - a bit on the surrealistic side but it works. The last two are a fun contrast to the IR color renderings of the scenes.

Okay, after hiking up and around Paradise in Mt Rainier twice today I am back waiting to see what the night sky will bring. So I finally stopped to look at these great photos.

What a fun day you had! :)

My favorite is #2, that is such a cool IR image!

#4 would be my next favorite, I like the feeling of action in it.

The rest are all really great, what an awesome way to capture your day!

Cool set, brings back memories of bringing in the hay on my grandparents farm, but we used much more rudimentary equipment! I like the last two showing the satisfying end to the day.
