A Break from Winter

As a bit of a departure from winter I decided to post an image from a summer visit to Heavenly Falls at the Portland Japanese Garden. This is when the rhododendrons and azaleas start to hit their stride and offer up some nice blooms to liven up the scenery. From an early June visit.

Thanks Ben - I had never really seen rhododendrons until I moved up here and I love them now of course.

Very nice combination of spring/summer vegetation and waterfalls. Do you have a vertical composition with more of the water reflecting the waterfalls?

Thanks Jameel - I do vertical comps of these falls but not from this particular day. This was the widest shot I took that day and all the rest were focused on small scenes within this wider view.

Thanks Alan, yes we all can use a break once and a while from the winter, I see the tops of my Tulips just starting to push up so know intellectually that spring is soon to be here but can use all the encouragement for summer I can get. Beautiful Image, love these gardens!
