A Bit of Morning Color

Maybe more than just a bit. This is a 24mm view of a pretty spectacular sunrise we had right near the end of January looking towards Mt. Hood. The skies were clear enough that you can see the top of Mt. Jefferson on the far right. Single frame with a crop to 16:9.

These sunrises happen so infrequently that we must celebrate each one! It's a shame that many folks just don't wake up early enough to experience them as they happen.

Thanks Michael - I am always up well before sunrise and have my drone where I can dash out the door and have it in the air in less than 3 minutes but Mother Nature has to give us the show in the first place or it won't help.

Spectacular color, Alan. This is the kind of sunrise that makes you feel super lucky to live where you do.
Thanks Michael - being able to shoot something like this from directly over my driveway is one of the huge benefits to shooting with a drone. I have no access to a view like this from ground level.

A bit of morning color? Hmmmm..... maybe just a little bit of un-exaggeration? :)

What an incredible display! They sky went nuclear for you.

Thanks - I like the un-exaggeration moniker. I was thinking downplaying the title would lower expectations so no one would be disappointed :)

Alan, I have seen a vibrant sky like this but didn't have the drone with me, you got a fabulous shot, just look at those clouds.

Thanks Oliver - this is why I keep mine handy so I can just run out the front door and launch when something like this sunrise show starts up.
