Hello Focal World, Its been a while.
My wife and I have had a lot of loss in the past 4 years, and I had to put a lot into navigating the labyrinth that has been our life. Now all of our parents are gone, and even the mother of my child is gone. However we have two wonderful and beautiful grandsons, so life does go on and we decided to take on an interesting project.
I have been carrying around a lot of undeveloped rolls of film for 30+years, however I always kept it refrigerated. I had no idea what to expect if anything, but I am blown away. Most were taken with my old Minolta X-700 and a Canon AE-1 I acquired later, I also had a Yashica Rangefinder that I shot mostly B&W with.

Anyway pretty sure I shot these with my Minolta, and I just had to share these with the forum.

Nice to see your work again Sonny although sad to hear of your losses along the way. Interesting finds on your old rolls of film. Did you actually label them so you had a clue of what was on each roll or did you just get surprise treasures as you had them developed? I love the backlighting shots in #2 and #3.

I knew what I took on the Panatomic-x, but the rest were surprises. Having the last batch developed now, and I do have various chromes that I am going to have developed.

That's so cool that the film was still good. I like both of these, especially the first one. I am not one for tatoo's but that means I am in the minority I think today. But I can appreciate how special they are for many people. So it's cool to document that, but not only that but everything in the office from the walls, etc. Who is peering in through the window?

Thanks Jim, and yeah I am just amazed that the film is still good. When I took the rolls into Monument Camera here in Tucson, they said that the film is way expired and not to get our hopes up. But the refrigeration of it all these years persevered the film, and that goes for the color images as well.

I dont have one tattoo, which makes me the minority these days, but my wife likes them however that was the only tattoo she had for many years. And yeah that image is money! I dig everything about this image, and it looks like it was staged with the woman peering through the window. But that part wasn't, as I have no idea who that woman is.

Welcome back, Sonny! Sorry to hear the sad story and glad you are moving forward positively. Still in New Mexico? It was fun meeting you there, and you were the only person I talked to on that trip. I'm sure you'll find some gems on those film rolls...

Thank you Jeffrey. We moved to Tucson in 2021 and live 5mins from Saguaro National Park. That was a fun encounter there at the mission in Nambe! I remember digging on your rig and your new Fuji camera. I still want one of those cameras!
There are some more gems for sure, and some are of people that are no longer with us. Next up is to send the E-6 rolls in.
