2024 Eclipse

A little late to the game posting but here are a few captures of the 2024 eclipse. I'm very happy and proud of these images. Once in a life time experience.

This was the first time capturing Solar, first time for a Total Eclipse. A lot of homework, preparation and driving but it was stunning despite the overcast clouds.

Nikon D5500, Tamron 70-200mm @ 200mm, ISO 100, f8, Starwatcher adventure 2i, day time PA with Polar Scope Align Pro, Baader AstroSolar film.
Diamond Ring and Totality; 1/800", Corona; 1/80" and 1/5" and a composite with the phases at 1/500" with the film in place.
South Burlington, VT, overcast, high cirrus clouds.

Wow! I think you might just win the award for the best eclipse images from our group here. Some of the guys got some great stuff, but yours is top notch!

I like how you created the sequence image as well. And it got me to thinking, perhaps I can pull that off with just 3 or 4 progression images. In my head I wanted like 20.... I know crazy.... but I like how yours displays. And plus my problem was i captured it in Texas, and the sun would totally disappear for 5 minutes at a time because of super heavy clouds. But I might be able to find 3 or 4 progression frames going into and out of Totality. Maybe I can still pull that off. Thanks!
