Just another Misty and Steamy morning in Yellowstone National Park. This is off of Firehole Drive. The sun is trying to break through, but it's having a hard time. It's barely visible if you look close.

Back on Firehole Drive in Yellowstone just a little ways past the Great Fountain Geyser is this little beauty called the Pink Cone Geyser. This is early morning as it erupted and the steam plume was being very nicely lit by the rising sun.
It was also a bit after this that I watched as some...
While there is lot's of life in Yellowstone in terms of wildlife and fauna, one quickly gets a sense that is also a land where things give die quickly. This is one scene I found not too far from the Great Fountain Geyser.

This is another of the archive photos I am processing as I travel. It's much easier to process and deal with the 12 mp photos from my old D700 on the road, and it's giving me a good excuse to process some shots I had skipped by in the past.
So from Yellowstone I found this one. It is called...
This is from a few years ago at the Great Fountain Geyser at Yellowstone National Park. The Great Fountain Geyser is my favorite Geyser at Yellowstone. I have mentioned before that I have literally spent hours and days at this geyser. It's one that erupts on a schedule but it has an 8 hour...
One from Yellowstone NP. I forget the name of this Geyser, but it sure seemed cool.
This is an old one I just processed from a stash from my archive that I brought with me. I figured I could process an old archive photo faster then I could new 46mp photos I took during my SW Colorado trip I am...
There wasn't much color in any sunrise on my trip to Bozeman/Yellowstone. This is what I got around sunrise at Mammoth Hot Springs this area for me was really cool probably one of my favorites in the park.
CC welcome.
Updated image with crop: CC welcome.
This last holiday weekend I spent a couple days in Yellowstone. It has defiantly become one of my favorite parks. Here is a shot of Mammoth Hot Springs cc always welcome!
I had posted a wider shot from the back side of Old Faithful in Yellowstone the other day. Here is a tighter shot from that same area.

From Yellowstone of course, this is Old Faithful. While sometimes we shy away from crowds as landscape photographers, something like Old Faithful is something that still draws me in. There is something just so cool about it.
In this one I am not in the main viewing deck, but due to the angle of...
The Great Fountain geyser is my favorite geyser in Yellowstone. I have literally spent days trying to catch it's elusive eruptions. Here is a shot at Twilight.

Although mom had already moved on, her cub stopped for a few seconds giving me a chance to grab some shots while hiding behind my car.
Any thoughts are welcome
This is from a few summers back, I would hang out here at the Great Fountain Geyser. So I incorporated it with the Milky Way and some air glow into a pano. This was a 5 or 6 shot pano if I remember correctly.

Great Fountain Geyser is my favorite geyser in Yellowstone, but it's a hard one to capture as it has like a 12 hour cycle +- 4 hours, so its' eruption can vary a lot. I have spent days at this geyser just to capture it's semi erratic eruptions. But it's a beautiful place and well worth the...
Taken last Sunday in Yellowstone while waiting to join the crowds at Old Faithful...
Any thoughts are welcome!
Below image edited to bring out some more detail in the mids/darks:
While driving trough Yellowstone on my way to the Upper Geyser Basin, I saw these lily pads on the frozen surface of Isa Lake and just had to stop. This isn't the type of composition I usually go for, so I hope it works. Any feedback is welcome.
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
