The day after Craig Carr led me up to Dead Horse Point for that magnificent view at sunrise, I again went early up into Arches NP. This was one of the shots I caught there. Very shortly after dawn, still mostly overcast, with the fresh snow from a few days prior.

Dec '13, I met up with Jim Fox at White Sands NM on my return from the west coast. He had be off wandering on his own, as we all do there, and I caught him working his way back toward me over the dunes. Bright morning light, but I love the sense of scale this image conveys.
