This is one from last fall at the Dallas Divide in SW Colorado by Ridgway. I came back to a stormy sunrise and got some pretty cool light.

From back in SW Colorado at the Dallas Divide, while I missed snow on the peaks I did like the late afternoon sun with the contrasts it then provided on the mountains. The few clouds floating lazily through the scene seemed to compliment everything well.

It's hard to believe but Fall Color in Colorado was 2 months ago already. Time sure flies fast!
This is from SW Colorado outside of Ridgway on CR 5. My #1 photo was a cool little private road I found off CR 5, either Dean or Bart has posted a similar view already. And as a note, if you...
This was before the sun poked it's head through the very small hole on the horizon at Dallas Divide in the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado. It was dark, very dark out still and the clouds were moving up in the sky pretty fast so I decided to put the 10 stop ND on to make it even darker so I...
This is from a few weeks back up by Dallas Divide in the San Juan Mountains in SW Colorado. It was one of those totally thick cloudy and rainy mornings, the kind where you think there is no point in photographing as it will be too cloudy. And then you go out to photograph anyway. :)
So out I...
This was from the stormy morning that brought the first dusting of snow to the San Juan Mountains in SW Colorado and to Mt Sneffels. Woke up to it raining/snowing and very overcast with the mountains being blocked from view up on the Dallas Divide off Hwy 62. I didn't get out to shoot at first...
Well, the title actually may not make a lot of sense, but the sunset did kind of pick up and snowball itself into something pretty cool. And this was the day after the first dusting of snow on the peaks which we had been not so patiently waiting for.
So this is Mt Sneffels in the San Juan...
Colorado - Ouray CR 10 Chimney Rock - Video Travel Guide
Creating Travel Guides is something that I have desired and done to a limited degree in the past. This last summer though it hit me that doing a Video Travel Guide as opposed to using just still photos is the real direction that I wanted...
This is Porphyry Basin in Colorado, it's a place I have wanted to get to for a couple of years and it was nice to finally get there. I was able to get to a few new wildflower locations in Colorado this wildflower season in addition to the normal spots like Blue Lakes. The wildflowers were...
That is Mt Sneffels in the background, this is an area that only 3 years ago looked nothing like this. The beavers were busy 2 years ago and dammed up a creek which changed it's flow which then created all of this. It's amazing to see how much the erosion has worked from one year to the next and...
Yankee Boy Basin is wild with wildflowers and an incoming storm. The wet weather made the wild colors even more wild, I had to pull back on the saturation as the greens were just too green and a bit blinding.
