This guy seemed to have a few friends hanging around as he surveyed his work scene. :)
An archive shot from Huntington Beach California that has me missing the beach while I am here in New Mexico.

One from a few years back that I have finally processed... This is in Huntington Beach California and the seagulls were flocking around like this was the Birds movie by Alfred Hitchcock.

This is from a few years back in Huntington Beach California. I have been going back through my archives lately looking for images I have skipped over or last track of, and this is one I had found that I liked. The way the clouds flowed through the image really struck as being cool.
All...
A portrait session that was later used for their engagement photos as they were both in the military at the time and were serving in Germany. They had both come home before the official engagement and wanted to shoot a Love Session, where they just wanted their love for each other captured...
The title is probably too much an attempt at cuteness.
I met up with JohnC this morning at Startbucks, had a nice chat with him. One of the things brought up was that he was looking to get some shots of Huntington Beach Pier with some sunset colors. So... that of course sent me...
One from a while back from Huntington Beach California. There was no clouds to be had at sunset, but for whatever the reason as the sun was getting close to setting the lower horizon turned this really cool orange. So I worked the orange glow for a while. It's one of those times that impressed...
Okay, so this one I have no clue which forum it should go in, any suggestions would be wonderful. For now I posted it in the people forum since there had been people in the photo at one point... :)

Another from Huntington Beach, this time from Main Street.
The guy sure looks like he is trying to talk himself out of some hole he had dug for himself.
Any thoughts for captions?
Another lunar eclipse from yesterday morning. I was in Huntington Beach shooting up on the pier to get some elevation and to also be able fill the bottom of the frame with just water, and to be able to move horizontally in the composition to place waves (which I added later as I started to shoot...
Here is one of those great SoCal sunsets when the clouds just glow and glow. It seemed fitting to post and warm me up a bit as I was out in RMNP again tonight to shoot the sunset. It was not as cold as yesterday here, but it was windier. Fortunately the clouds were even better then yesterday and...
A shot from Huntington Beach where I had a moment of clear thinking... Not sure how long that lasted...
I have seen other photos of piers, shooting down them with cool effects as the pilings formed the borders on both sides. Huntington Beach is the beach I shoot most often and it's pier...
I haven't been there late this year to shoot this, but the pier always looks cool when they add the snowflakes to the pier light posts. In this one I was just playing around with different reflections in the sand as they would change with every wave.

Last Friday I saw the clouds looking good down at the beach and was thinking it would make for some great B&W shooting since it was midday. When I got down there the clouds were radiating out from behind the pier and I ran down to start shooting again totally thinking B&W. Well the sun was just...
Huntington Beach has some of the most fantastic sunsets around. Add to that the variety of compositions with adding in the pier, adding in surfers, body boarders, etc. it's a great place to shoot.

Ryan went and put out a last minute call for a meet up at Huntington Beach last week. It's a cool feature that hopefully more people will use in the future as it's always fun to connect and shoot with others.
Anyway... Ryan posted a couple of his photos, I finally got to processing one of the...
