Cracked is from my Naturally Abstract collection and composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC. It is also the first image in a sub-collection that I refer to as Stump Art. I liked the dried, abstract patterns and the nearly grayscale color palette.

Gold Strips is from my Naturally Abstract collection and was composed at the Grove Plantation near Adams Run, SC. The wind was well above my normal limit, and even with a plamp, the conditions were very challenging. It is a dried thistle head.
