Skyline Overlook - Drone View Looking up

One of the things I wanted to do with my drone at Skyline was to fly down and out to get a view looking back up at the viewpoint. Look for my truck camper near the rim in the center and people at the point. 15 frame pano, each a median blended stack of 5 RAW shots, a total of 75 shots = 90 MP...

    Skyline Overlook Drone Pano

Thanks to Ben I've been dreaming of flying my drone at Skyline Overlook for a couple years now. It was exciting to finally do it, with some nice clouds to boot!

    Driving to Goblin Valley

Had to stop a few times on the drive south from SLC to Goblin Valley. I told Debbie that God insisted I stop for this shot. Great thunderheads near Green River. Almost there.

    Easter Badlands

Something from this spring...an old favorite area. It's an Instagram thing these days and what was once a by yourself thing is now out and found out. I fear that it might be loved to death and destroyed, C.

    Sculpted Rocks

A recent video from out at Joshua Tree on the morning after an all night Perseids Meteor photography. Before leaving I wanted to walk around the wonderland of rocks as there are so many shapes and sizes out there. GoPro Hero 9 Assembled in Movavi All comments are welcome, Jim

    Bist Badlands 2021

This is my first post on this site. Jim Fox suggested that I might want to. I've seen some really nice images on this site. This particular image is from my recent trip to the Bisti which I have been visiting for the last 15 years or so, C.

    Flying With Google Earth

I was flying around with Google Earth today grabbing some maps and views for a slideshow of our trip to the desert last year. Then I got the idea to fly over to an area I haven't visited yet, but many here have. I just wasted about an hour capturing images of this incredible area, then playing...

    Best of 2020

#1: Skiing down from the Paradise Glacier, Mt. Rainier. Not the best ski shot of the year, but I managed to capture my friend Silas in perfect position on his 70th B-day - my present to him. #2: Another summer ski day at Mt. Rainier. My partner Eric got this one of me on a new descent for us...

    Wahweap Hoodoos

Back in 2013 my wife and I hiked in here to spend a night and shoot the hoodoos know as The Towers of Silence. We were lucky to have the place to ourselves until two other photographers showed up in the late morning for an hour or two. This was my favorite place on our month long UT/AZ tour that...

    Bruneau Dunes Sunrise

We've stopped for the night a couple times at this little ID state park on our way back from SLC. It isn't too far off the freeway and has a nice little campground. I got up in the dark and had the dunes to myself this morning.
