    Portrait of Mt. Baring

It was a tough drive up a 4x4 road in my little old Subaru Outback, but I made it for some nice morning light (missed sunrise). I did another 5 mile hike hoping to get some other views, but trees got in the way. This is one of my favorite mountains in WA. The north face, in profile here, was the...

    Cloudy Day Above My House

Kick-start this forum with more posts from directly above my house. This is one of the coolest things about having a drone - I can almost instantly have a great view of the sky and mountains. Hopefully more drone shooters will join in and start posting here. Sept. 20, 2018

    Puget Sound from Mt. Pilchuck

One of the reasons I love this hike is the view west to the Puget Sound.

    Cascades Panorama

Nine shots (3 rows of 3) with my Sony A7rII resulted in this 2.5 GB pano - morning view east to Glacier Pk. from the top of Mt. Pilchuck. Click through to see larger. Pilchuck-Sunrise-(159)-Pano by Jim Dockery posted Sep 20, 2018 at 9:58 AM

    Glacier Peak

I'm normally up here for skiing in the spring, but enjoy looking at the rocky ridge that is so smooth with snow cover then.

    High Key at the beach

I don't do high key much, but this foggy day lent itself to it, especially in B&W.

    Sibly Pass Sunset

I was disappointed to have fire haze obscuring the peaks last night after carrying my camera, tripod, and three lenses up a hot 3000+ ft. elevation gain trail, fighting biting flies the whole way. This is a 3 shot pano looking north to Mt. Baker that I managed to process with a lot of work.

    Vestrahorn in Mono

This image is a nearly 3.5 minute exposure using a 15-stop ND plus a 2 stop grad. I envisioned this image in monochrome from the start but the color version is not too shabby either.

Skiing the lower Nisqually Glacier, Mt. Rainier

I'm the photographer among most of my ski partners. I often wait for them at the top to shoot (or ask them to wait while I ski down and then get set up), which can give a nice little person in a big landscape perspective. This was taken a couple years ago on a wonderful 7,000 ft. descent from...

It's hosta time in my yard. Working hard to hold the slugs at bay.

Val d'Orcia Cypresses, a long exposure taken during a Workshop I led in Tuscany (Italy) in Spring 2017. Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm and filters Formatt-Hitech Firecrest. Thank you for viewing, best regards Vieri

    Maui Trees

Taken on the drive to and on the Hoapili trail hike. We lucked out with some clouds, both for photos, and mitigating the sun.

    Yin and Yang

This was taken on a ski tour in the Wasatch range of Utah back in the 70s. Shot on Kodachrome it was one of my favorite attempts at converting to black and white using a slide-duplicating set-up with negative film loaded. BW-snow-curve by Jim Dockery posted Feb 7, 2018 at 9:18 AM

A couple more from my backyard. The snow melted, then a bit came back this morning. Snowy-Maple-(1bw) by Jim Dockery posted Feb 26, 2018 at 6:26 PM Snow-on-Maple-(10) by Jim Dockery posted Feb 26, 2018 at 6:26 PM
