One of the reasons I love this hike is the view west to the Puget Sound.

I'm normally up here for skiing in the spring, but enjoy looking at the rocky ridge that is so smooth with snow cover then.

I don't do high key much, but this foggy day lent itself to it, especially in B&W.

I was disappointed to have fire haze obscuring the peaks last night after carrying my camera, tripod, and three lenses up a hot 3000+ ft. elevation gain trail, fighting biting flies the whole way. This is a 3 shot pano looking north to Mt. Baker that I managed to process with a lot of work.

This image is a nearly 3.5 minute exposure using a 15-stop ND plus a 2 stop grad. I envisioned this image in monochrome from the start but the color version is not too shabby either.

I'm the photographer among most of my ski partners. I often wait for them at the top to shoot (or ask them to wait while I ski down and then get set up), which can give a nice little person in a big landscape perspective. This was taken a couple years ago on a wonderful 7,000 ft. descent from...

Taken on the drive to and on the Hoapili trail hike. We lucked out with some clouds, both for photos, and mitigating the sun.
