Fall Black & White

Because I'm not ready for autumn to be behind us yet, here are a few images I captured near Conway Summit a few years ago. My goal with these was to isolate some particularly colorful areas with a longer lens than I usually use for landscapes. Any thoughts are welcome! 1) Conway Reds 2)...

I took this last month, but just now took the time to process it. The background bokeh was pretty harsh so I took the time to select the leaves, copy and paste them as a separate layer, then blur the background with a number of filters, then finally resize, and sharpen just the leaf layer.

Saw some interesting light in the meadow near El Capitan so I had to find a tree to block it! Any thoughts are welcome.
